Every great team starts with a vision.

The AZ Coyotes Baseball Club was founded in 2026 by Head Coach Tim Stempkowski with one simple goal: create a travel baseball program where player development always comes before trophies. While winning is exciting and competing matters, our mission is to help young athletes become confident baseball players, great teammates, and even better young men.

As a longtime baseball player, youth coach, Little League board member, and father, Coach Tim saw an opportunity to build the kind of program many families were searching for. One built on fundamentals, accountability, effort, and a genuine love for the game.

At the AZ Coyotes, we believe every practice should have purpose. Every drill should make players better. Every tournament should be another opportunity to learn. We challenge our players to compete at a high level while creating an environment where mistakes are part of the learning process, not something to fear.

Our coaching philosophy is centered around teaching the game the right way. We emphasize baseball IQ just as much as physical ability. Players learn multiple positions, develop fundamentally sound mechanics, understand situational baseball, and build confidence through consistent instruction. We want every athlete to leave practice knowing they improved that day.

We also believe baseball should be fun.

Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive team culture are at the heart of everything we do. You'll see coaches encouraging players, teammates celebrating each other's successes, and families building friendships that extend well beyond the baseball field. The memories made during youth baseball often last far longer than the wins and losses.

Our commitment extends beyond the players. We value open communication with parents and strive to create an organized, transparent program where everyone understands our expectations and shares the same vision. Families become part of the Coyotes community from day one.

The AZ Coyotes compete in USSSA tournaments throughout Arizona while maintaining a balanced approach to development and competition. Our players are challenged against quality opponents while receiving the instruction they need to continue growing each season. From structured practices and skill development to competitive tournament weekends and special events like our Sandlot Baseball nights, we are constantly looking for ways to make baseball enjoyable while helping our athletes reach their potential.

Looking ahead, our vision is much bigger than one season. We are building a program that players can grow with year after year, creating a culture of hard work, sportsmanship, resilience, and love for the game. Our long term goal is to help our athletes develop into confident, fundamentally sound baseball players who are prepared for the next level, while creating unforgettable experiences along the way, including competing together in some of youth baseball's premier events.
